HP OMEN set out to stand out in a flat PC market and against dominant consoles by showing gamers how its extreme performance enables them to #DominateTheGame. Partnering with the rAge expo, HP launched RUSH powered by OMEN, a multi-platform esports tournament with big prizes and immersive experiences. Supported by an HP OMEN pop-up store, branded venues, and ticketing, as well as strong influencer engagement, the campaign authentically connected with the gaming community and showcased the power of OMEN devices.
The strategy paid off with over 200,000 opportunities to be seen, 4,000 visitors at RUSH, 1,370 event mentions, and more than 3,000 post engagements, generating awareness worth over R30 million. The campaign not only put HP OMEN at the centre of the gaming conversation but also earned a Bronze Assegai Award in 2017, cementing its position as a serious contender in the competitive gaming space.
