On the 23rd of January 2024, the HP Inc. Channel Partner Awards, in collaboration with Intel, illuminated the Johannesburg skyline, celebrating the remarkable achievements of SAF channel partners for FY23. Catalyst Africa, the agency at the helm, expertly crafted an evening of recognition, innovation, and forward-thinking, aligning seamlessly with HP's vision of going beyond expectations.









The Result

  • The HP Partner Awards 2023 was not just an event; it was a landmark celebration of partnership, innovation, and progress. Catalyst Africa facilitated an environment where accolades were bestowed, strategies were shared, and the future was embraced with optimism. 
  • Attendees: 238 distinguished guests 
  • Award Highlights: 23 awards were presented, spotlighting achievements across multiple categories, with special accolades awarded to industry icons Jenny and Neil Rex, Datacentrix for the Reseller Award for 2023, and Incredible Connection for the Retailer Award for 2023.
  • The event saw the recognition of numerous partners across various categories, from services and products to top distributors and the prestigious HP Wall of Fame winners. This acknowledgment underlines the collective efforts in maintaining HP's leading position in the commercial space in Southern Africa. 


The Insight

Held at the prestigious Empire venue in Johannesburg, the event was a spectacle of flawless execution. From the ambient setup reflecting the 'Go Beyond' theme to the coordination of speakers and award presentations, Catalyst Africa demonstrated its event marketing expertise at every turn. 

 

Hosted by the charismatic Claire Mawisa, the night was filled with insights from tech leaders such as Yesh Surjoodeen (HP Southern Africa), Helena Herrero (HP Southern Europe), and Nitesh Doolabh (Intel South Africa), along with Richard Stainforth, who detailed HP's channel strategies. Their speeches provided valuable knowledge and celebrated the symbiotic relationship between HP and its channel partners. 

 

The evening unfolded in a burst of lights and innovation with a breathtaking display by Laser X, intricately weaving the narrative of HP’s Go Beyond initiative. The spectacle unfolded, painting a vivid picture of collaboration and innovation, paying homage to the invaluable contributions of partners and resellers that make HP's vision possible. 

 

A highlight was the mesmerizing laser display by Laser X, which masterfully narrated HP’s Go Beyond initiative. This visual feast, alongside performances by Cappacino, Steve Umculo, and an LED-lit violinist, created a unique blend of technology and art, captivating attendees and symbolizing the event's innovative spirit. 



The Strategy

'Go Beyond,' was more than a theme; it was a narrative woven into the fabric of the evening. Catalyst Africa drew inspiration from HP's pioneering strides towards a sustainable and innovative future, designing an event that not only celebrated achievements but also embodied HP's commitment to eco-friendly solutions. 

Our strategy was multifaceted, focusing on immersive experiences, engaging content, and meaningful recognition. The goal was to not only honor the successes of HP's partners but to inspire a collective momentum towards future technological and sustainable advancements.
