When you are dealing with very niche markets, a blanket advertising campaign will never deliver value for money. To position Aruba premium partner, MySky, as a Managed Service Provider (MSP) of choice, we went back to basics with a highly targeted campaign. The campaign was aimed at educating business users on the benefits of managed services compared to in-house IT.

The Insight

Even at the best of times, IT budgets are tight. After the events of the past year, extra funding is non-existent. Managed services can help businesses do more with less, optimise their processes, and focus on their core competencies rather than their technology. We needed to help businesses see that and understand why MySky would be the perfect partner.



The Strategy

B2B communication around IT is always all about the technology. However, in reality, business leaders make the decisions. We needed to communicate at this level, bringing the business benefits to the fore. We compiled a marketing campaign centred on traditional, simple communication – an engaging, beautifully designed digital brochure that highlighted 10 reasons why businesses should consider managed IT services. 

Our approach netted a huge amount of engagement through an integrated lead generation campaign driven by Google ads and targeted social media ads, directing users to download the brochure and initiating a call-back function from the MySky team. 

While LinkedIn was an obvious choice, we also took to Facebook, an unusual approach in the B2B sphere that proved to be extremely effective. We adopted a targeted approach to our Facebook Ads campaign to ensure it was aimed only at appropriate potential customers and tracking insights to enable us to effectively remarket. 

Continuous monitoring, reporting, and improving the campaign has also been key throughout. This strategy, combined with low cost per click, yielded massive Return-On-Investment (ROI).  The campaign has been so successful that it has become a benchmark industry standard for other Aruba partner campaigns across the MEA region.
